Everything and everyone has a story to tell even things you take for granted. I decided to tell you one about our fruitful day.
We love fruit and veg, my little boy prefers strawberry to biscuit and I am very proud of him. I was absolutely delighted to find a farm nearby where you can pick your own fruit. I thought it was a great way for us to spend a family day out, teach our little son where the fruit and veg grows and then perhaps bake our cake. Even tough I am rubbish at cooking and baking but I gave it a go :). So here is what happened.

We started with red currant... |
|
Hugo followed daddy's example but I am not sure how much ended in his basket ... |
|
Gooseberry was definitely the favorite one, but no wonder. It was delicious... |
|
Large and sweet, yummy... |

Very proud little picker with his strawberries | | | | | | |

|
Our baskets full of goodies... |
Now, there should be a picture of baking a cake together, but as soon as we got home Hugo fell a sleep and woke up after 4 hours and this time daddy followed his example :)

Ready for the oven... |

Tadaaa, our home-baked fruit cake. This time I kept close eye on the oven so it did not burn (the usual scenario) :)) |
I know, images of us eating it should follow, but I was busy eating and as soon as my boys woke up we finished it all. This time together :).
inspiring :) followed your example today - mostly same fruit picked, but none of it lasted long enough to become a cake :)
