Challenge: shallow DOF

This month Clickin Moms Challenge was shallow dept of field. Now, if you are not a photographer yourself, it won't tell you much. So let me explain. Depth of field refers to the range of distance that appears acceptably sharp. A photographer needs to decide how much of the subject need to be sharp BEFORE he presses the button. It does not matter if it is an animal, person or product. It is about the vision the photographer has in mind.

Most of the time I like to photograph with shallow depth of field unless the environment where the subject is is important to the story. It helps separate the subject from the background and from the clutter. It is fantastic way of concentrating on expression and detail.

All of these images have one thing in common and that is shallow dept of field :).

See how Heidi got on with this project and just follow the circle :).
